Are you enrolled to vote?
Electoral rolls for the 2021 NSW local governments elections will close on Monday, July 26.
It is compulsory for all eligible residents to vote in the NSW local governments on Saturday, September 4, 2021.
Are you enrolled to vote?
If not, you can enrol here: https://aec.gov.au/enrol/
Even if you believe you are enrolled, it is a good idea to check your enrollment.
Check your enrollment
Unsure whether you are enrolled?
Perhaps you have moved recently or changed your name or other enrollment details?
Or perhaps you just want to check and find out which council ward you will vote in?
(We will say more about council wards in an up-coming post.)
To check your enrollment (you can sign up for election reminders too, if you wish) …
Go to this page: https://roll.elections.nsw.gov.au/NSWLookUp
Using the exact details with which you believe you were last enrolled, fill in:
Your surname or family name
Your given names (you need to provide all the given names under which you are enrolled)
Your date of birth
Your street name (just the street name - do not include your house number nor the word ‘Street’, ‘Road’, ‘Avenue’ etc)
Then click the Verify Enrollment button.
If all is well you will see something like this. That page will also show your local government area (eg: The Hills Shire Council) and you local government area ward (Eg: North Ward).
If you see something like this instead then you should follow the instructions provided. You may need to enrol to vote or change your enrollment details.
You can also check your enrollment at the Australian Electoral Commission’s web page: https://check.aec.gov.au/
We do our best, but if you see anything that is incorrect please let us know so that we can correct it. You should refer to the NSW Electoral Commission for the latest and most authoritative information.

Nor do we receive funding from any individual, party, institution or corporation. Our very constrained expenditures are financed by the page administrators themselves acting in a personal capacity. Our only interest is in a safe climate for current and future residents of the Hills Shire.
